About Civil Conversations
I believe that in order for us to get through very tough topics and seasons we need to have more open dialogue with those who are not like us.
Being the son of two Nigerians, born in NYC and now living in the south, I have definitely seen and experienced a lot as a black man in America. My parents came here as immigrants on student visas and raised me to take advantage of what this nation has to offer. Unfortunately I have gone through, just like many of my fellow african americans, a lot of challenges in that journey.
I started this movement to help not only shine a light on what is going on for black people in america but to also shine a lot on all people of different backgrounds so we can learn from each other.
Civil Conversations is just the beginning for all who take part in this very critical movement. We want to see everyone, reach across the aisle, lawn, street, row, pew, etc and embrace each other for who they are and hopefully grow.
